Ondřej Kořistka (CZE)

Nuclear physicist

 

Ondřej is a graduate of the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague in Radiological Physics. He has worked at the Proton Therapy Center Czech in Prague in the field of radiotherapy of oncological diseases and at the State Institute of Radiation Protection in the field of natural radiation dosimetry and radon measurements.

 

 

He also has work experience in the energy sector as a junior consultant. He is currently a PhD student and researcher at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering, CTU, where he is involved in gamma-ray spectrometry, decommissioning of nuclear facilities, monitoring radionuclides in the environment, and teaching students.
Ondřej is an enthusiastic popularizer of physics topics! He actively organizes lectures, workshops, and talks at high schools, lectures for the University of the Third Age, trains high school teachers, and has his own physics experiment roadshow.
