Presenter, actor, composer and musician

Marek Eben is one of the most sought-after Czech presenters. He has been on stage and in front of the camera practically all his life, whether as an actor, host of important cultural events or as a musician and singer in the folk band Bratři Ebenové, which he founded with his brothers David and Kryštof.

He graduated in music and drama from the Prague Conservatory and worked for almost 20 years in Prague's Studio Ypsilon. Since 2006 he has been hosting the Czech Television show StarDance with actress and presenter Tereza Kostkova. In the TV series Na plovárně he conducts interviews with celebrities, which have also been published in books. He also hosts the TV news from the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
For his contribution in the field of culture, he was awarded the honorary degree of doctor honoris causa and the Gold Medal of the University of Hradec Králové in 2022.
