I will do everything I can to ensure that the Czech industry does not lose its competitiveness and maintains its good name in the world," says the lawyer, who is also CEO of the Czech branch of Heimstaden, the largest private rental housing provider in the Czech Republic. Jan Rafaj is also deputy chairman of the supervisory board of the mining company OKD and a member of the statutory bodies of other companies.
Previously, he worked at the metallurgical company ArcelorMittal Ostrava for sixteen years, now Liberty Ostrava, as HR director and deputy chairman of the board. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University in Brno, and later obtained an MBA degree from Prague International Business School.
