Jakub Nekvasil (CZE)

Founder of Telperion, climate ambassador and student

Seventeen years old Jakub is a student of the Nature Grammar School. He is an ambassador for the Climate Pact and founder of Telperion — Young People Teaching about Climate, a club that focuses on climate education and motivating students to action. Together with other students from all over the Czech Republic, he travels to schools to lecture climate programs. With his project Climate Days, he was nominated for the Josef Vavroušek Environmental Award.

Jakub is also the local coordinator of the Living Landscape model focused on retaining water in the landscape around his home. He is also a member of YounGo, an international organization that advocates for the voice of youth at the UNFCCC. He strives to change the world around him for the better and to do what he can for a better climate future.
