Anna Horáčková (CZE)

Director of Paseka Publishing House

Anna heads the Paseka publishing house, which was founded by her father Ladislav Horáček after the fall of communism in Czechoslovakia.

Anna studied Economics and HR at the University of Economics in Prague. She has been working at Paseka since she was eighteen years old, and went through the entire structure of the publishing house before becoming its director in 2006. Since then, she has been running the company as a medium-sized publishing house of modern editing, focusing on quality Czech and translated fiction, non-fiction, comics and literature for children and young adults.
