The Birth of the Metropolis, or Ostrava in the fifties and sixties in photographs. The aim of the lecture is to evoke the atmosphere of the developing industrial metropolis of the region and the whole of Czechoslovakia during a short but intense period of great economic, cultural, ideological and social changes. Comparison of old Ostrava with its current look.
