Sára Zeithammerová (CZE)

Writer and screenwriter

Sara was born in the United States, but spent most of her life in Prague, Czech Republic. She studied English and Spanish for Intercultural Communication at Charles University, and Screenwriting and Dramaturgy at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She wrote the screenplay for the miniseries Pět let (“Five Years”, 2022), which was nominated for the Český lev Award and the Czech Film Critics' Award.

Her debut in fiction was the novel Stehy (“Stitches”, 2022), which was shortlisted for the Jiří Orten Award. Sara also regularly writes short stories. Her second novel, Svatá (“Saint”), was published in spring 2025.
