Kateřina gained attention in 2002 with her successful and critically acclaimed psychological mystery thriller Šepot z lesa (Whisper from the Forest). It was followed by two other books, together forming a loosely connected trilogy about how no one has long enough legs to escape the past and themselves.
This year, the author published a stand-alone novel, Slepé cesty (Blind Paths), and her first children's book will appear in the autumn. In addition, Kateřina has published short stories in anthologies of Czech authors. In her works she combines real settings and events with legends, myths, tales and pure fantasy.
