Kateřina Pokorná, who performs under the artistic name Svojost, is a prominent figure on the contemporary Czech literary and performance scene. Her work fluctuates between poetry and spoken word, focusing on deep personal experiences, authentic emotions and reflection on the contemporary world. Her work intertwines topics of relationships, family ties, generational identity and self-discovery.

Her first collection, Millennials, published in 2023, includes popular lyrics familiar from social media as well as previously unpublished poems. With her honesty and urgency, Svojost quickly gained a wide audience, especially among the younger generation. The poem Millennials reached more than 1.4 million views on social media and became a viral phenomenon.

In addition to her literary work, Svojost also performs at author readings and cultural events, where her dynamic interpretation of poetry can draw the audience into the story and evoke strong emotions. In 2022, she made it to the final of the Czechia & Slovakia's Got Talent competition, where she impressed the jury and the audience with her striking performance.
