Darek Mazzone is an internationally recognized DJ, cultural curator, filmmaker, and multimedia producer renowned for his expansive vision of a polyphonic world—one where diverse voices converge through music, technology, and storytelling. Born in Poland and shaped profoundly by his immigrant experience, Darek has dedicated his career to bridging cultural divides and amplifying global voices.

With over three decades at KEXP, Seattle’s influential public radio station, Darek introduced global audiences to groundbreaking music from every corner of the planet. His extensive film work further explores the intersection of culture, music, and human narratives, adding depth and dimension to his creative vision. Beyond radio and film, Darek is the founder of SAMA: Music & Art, a dynamic non-profit dedicated to showcasing immigrant, indigenous, and underrepresented artists in the Pacific Northwest and internationally.

Darek also has a distinguished background as a New Media Director in advertising, working with technology giants like Microsoft and Google, highlighting the transformative power of technology to reshape narratives and amplify marginalized voices worldwide. He also cooperates with the United Nations and other global NGOs to support displaced and marginalized communities.
