Andreas Papadopulos (CZE)

Journalist, reporter

Czech journalist, reporter and foreign correspondent for Czech Television in Poland, the Baltics and Ukraine. Since 2017 he has been working in the foreign news department of Czech Television. In 2024 he was included in Forbes magazine's 30 under 30 selection of young talent.

Andreas studied journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University in Prague. He is the author of reports and podcasts published by CT24 channel. He is also one of the co-authors of the book Putinova válka (Putin's War), the author of the documentary film Poslední revoluce (The Last Revolution) about the Romanian Revolution of 1989, and the documentary Rok Covidu (The Year of Covid).

He has been Czech Television's correspondent in Poland since 2022, and has also been CT's special correspondent in Ukraine since the beginning of the Ukraine-Russia crisis in February 2022. According to the languages he has used in TV broadcasts, he speaks English, French, Polish and Russian.

He is a member of the Greek minority living in the Czech Republic, whose ancestors fled to Czechoslovakia before the Greek Civil War in the late 1940s. In his youth he played football for FC Baník Ostrava, his cousin is a local player and successful footballer Michal Papadopulos.
