Peace Talks

18. 7. 2024 17:30 - 18:30

A novel that maps the darkest and most tender territories of the human heart. A love story and a war story at the same time. Peace Talks by Tim Finch, set within a broader political framework and undoubtedly inspired by the author's experiences at the BBC and human rights organisations, reflects on what it means to make peace, both with others and with oneself. The book was shortlisted for the prestigious Costa Book Prize in 2020. How to write about peace that is not inherently dramatic? How can it be approached as a theme and what does it mean for Tim?
