He was captivated by the silence and peace of the white plains of the polar regions, which is why he keeps returning there. After expeditions to the Poles, Siberia, and the Canadian Northwest Territories, he crossed Baffin Island and Spitsbergen. He has completed seven expeditions to Antarctica, which has become his life's passion.
He led the first Czech diving expedition to Antarctica, which filmed the "Cesta pod mrazivou hladinu Antarktidy" movie there. He crossed the Drake Passage several times in a small sailing boat. He was also the first person to cross both the southern and northern Arctic Circle in six months on a sailing boat. In recent years he has been involved in snow bike expeditions in Lapland.
