During his mandate, Czech TV has launched three new channels, significantly expanded and improved its own production and became the most watched television group in the country.

Petr studied technical cybernetics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague, and received an MBA from the University of Chicago. Since September 2011, he has been the Director of Czech Television. Since 2014, he has been a board member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and since January 2021, he holds the position of its Vice President.
