Pavel Váňa (CZE)

Particle physicist

Pavel is a PhD student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague, where he is working on heavy ion collisions at the ATLAS experiment at CERN. He is one of the organizers of the Astronomy Expedition, a summer school of astronomy for high school and university students.

Since 2021, he has also been the chairman of the Amateur Sky Tour, one of the sections of the Czech Astronomical Society. He enjoys popularizing science and dedicates his spare time to astronomy, photography and fire-fighting sports.
