Jan Světlík (CZE)

As a graduate of the University of Technology in Ostrava, he has been combining his professional career with engineering since 1982. Gradually, he built the international CYLINDERS HOLDING group with companies in the Czech Republic, Poland, Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, and other countries. The group is Europe's largest manufacturer of high-pressure steel cylinders, cartridges, and smart containers for various gases. In addition, the group is a leader in the storage and transport of hydrogen and hydrogen technology department.
Jan Světlík is the author of the vision of transforming and developing Dolní Vítkovice from a former brownfield into an internationally appreciated complex for education, popularization of science, as well as cultural and social activities. For his efforts to transform Dolní Vítkovice and popularise hydrogen technologies, Jan Světlík was granted the "Cena hejtmana za společenskou odpovědnost 2022" award.
